We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and motivated Lead Clinician to join our pediatric therapy team.
The Lead Clinician role combines direct patient care with leadership, mentorship, and clinical support responsibilities.
This individual will serve as a trusted resource for clinicians and staff while helping uphold high standards of clinical excellence, professionalism, teamwork, and ethical care across the clinic.
This role is ideal for a speech-language pathologist who enjoys supporting others, problem-solving, mentoring clinicians, and contributing to a positive and growth-oriented clinic culture.
Required Qualifications
Active Kentucky Speech-Language Pathology license
Current American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
Minimum of 3 years pediatric clinical experience preferred, though candidates with strong leadership potential, specialty skill sets, or mentorship experience may also be considered
Strong understanding of evidence-based speech-language pathology practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with children, families, and coworkers
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high-quality patient care
Demonstrates professionalism, flexibility, reliability, and ethical clinical judgment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
Passion for mentorship, collaboration, and professional growth
Willingness and eligibility to mentor Clinical Fellows within the field of speech-language pathology
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate:
Leadership or mentorship experience
Advanced training or defined clinical specialty areas
Experience supporting or supervising newer clinicians or Clinical Fellows
Strong family advocacy and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Participation in continuing education, conferences, or professional leadership opportunities
Experience improving systems, workflows, or clinical quality initiatives
Role Structure & Responsibilities
This is a full-time, salaried 38-hour position that includes a combination of:
Direct therapy services
Evaluations and treatment planning
Documentation and compliance support
Clinician mentorship and collaboration
Parent communication
Leadership meetings and operational support
Onboarding and training assistance
Clinical observations and problem-solving support
The Lead Clinician is expected to model professionalism, collaboration, flexibility, strong communication, and ethical practice while supporting the mission and values of the clinic.
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide evidence-based, patient-centered therapy services
Complete evaluations, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and documentation in a timely manner
Maintain strong clinical decision-making and high standards of care
Support positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
Leadership & Mentorship Responsibilities
Support clinicians through mentorship, collaboration, and problem-solving
Provide guidance related to treatment planning, documentation, parent communication, and clinical reasoning
Assist with onboarding and training of new staff members
Offer responsive clinical support when questions or challenges arise
Participate in leadership meetings and clinic initiatives
Assist with maintaining documentation quality, safety procedures, and operational consistency
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $58,000–$65,000+ annually based on experience, qualifications, leadership contribution, and fulfillment of role expectations
Potential eligibility for annual merit and longevity bonuses
$300 annual CEU stipend with opportunities to request additional professional development funding
