Overview:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Drafter with experience in electrical cable and wire harness design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings and documentation for wiring systems used in our vehicles, NDT Test Systems, in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams. Proficiency with CAD tools and understanding of electrical systems is essential.

Develop 2D schematics and partial 3D models of cable and wire harness assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks Electrical).
Interpret electrical design requirements from engineers and translate them into detailed technical drawings.
Create and maintain bills of materials (BOM), connector tables, and wire run lists.
Ensure drawings meet industry standards, customer specifications, and internal documentation protocols.
Revise existing designs and update documentation as needed throughout the product development cycle.
Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and resolve discrepancies.
Support the prototyping and production phases by providing documentation, clarification, and updates.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of drafting practices and tools.

Associate's degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
2+ years of experience in electrical drafting, preferably involving cable or harness design.
Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks Electrical
Understanding of wiring diagrams, schematics, and harness manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with standards such as IPC/WHMA-A-620, or similar is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
