Structural Engineer – Building Inspection & Design

A well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking a Structural Engineer to support building inspections, evaluations, and structural design projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of field work and office-based design, working on a variety of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural inspections and condition assessments of existing buildings
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, deficiencies, and repair recommendations
  • Design structural systems for new construction and rehabilitation projects
  • Develop calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients
  • Assist with forensic investigations and structural evaluations as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in structural design and/or inspections
  • PE license or ability to obtain is preferred
  • Experience with concrete, steel, masonry, and wood design
  • Strong report writing and communication skills
  • Comfortable performing field work and site visits
