SUMMARY Responsible for creating, documenting, developing all APQP documents relating to new product launches and training the operational groups to secure a successful PPAP and launch of all new programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Lead all APQP functions as it relates to new programs culminating in successful launch of said programs. Assist in developing and training all operational groups of processes and requirements that relate to the launch of new programs.Understand, communicate and train all operational personnel on customer specific requirements. Lead / participate in corrective action audits and problem solving teams to support Continuous Improvements to meet performance criteria once a new program is launched. Perform Process Capabilities and measurement studies using statistical techniques as necessary to support new program launch and GDT requirements.Develop, document, and provide for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes to support quality, cost and customer expectations. Familiar with customer specific Quality System requirements Responsibility to act as liaison with external parties (customer&supplier) on matters relating to new program requirements. Assist in training of new Quality group associates as needed. Must be an integral part of the Program Management Launch team. Support IATF and ISO 14001 requirements.. Audit vendor PPAP’s production materials. Read and Interpret GD&T Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
