Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician
Job Description
This role combines hands-on building maintenance with support for compressed natural gas (CNG) operations.
You will work closely with an experienced CNG technician on compressors, natural gas systems, testing equipment, and piping, while also handling a wide range of facility maintenance tasks.
This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is eager to learn specialized CNG systems.
Responsibilities
Support the CNG technician in operating, inspecting, and maintaining CNG compressors and related equipment.
Assist with work on natural gas systems, including basic piping tasks and use of testing equipment under guidance.
Perform general building maintenance, including basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC-related tasks as assigned.
Carry out routine facilities maintenance and repair work to keep the building, equipment, and systems in good working order.
Diagnose and troubleshoot minor maintenance issues and complete repairs in a timely and safe manner.
Shift between CNG support and building maintenance tasks based on workload and operational needs.
Work independently on assigned tasks while communicating progress and issues clearly to supervisors and teammates.
Follow safety procedures and best practices when working with natural gas, mechanical systems, and building infrastructure.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Support other facility-related projects and tasks as needed to ensure reliable and efficient operations.
Essential Skills
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
Experience in building maintenance, facilities, or related trades such as electrical, plumbing, or HVAC.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple types of tasks and priorities.
Comfort working with tools, mechanical systems, and basic repair procedures.
Reliable, safety-minded approach to working with natural gas, mechanical equipment, and building systems.
Adaptability and willingness to shift between CNG support and general maintenance work as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience with natural gas systems or CNG operations is a strong plus but not required.
Work experience includes - facilities maintenance, repair, or similar technical roles.
Willingness to receive training and expand skills in CNG systems and related technologies.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buena Park, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $***** - $*****/hr.
