Accounting Intern Role
This is a part time role for a candidate who will help with some clean-up projects in Fixed Assets, AR, Unclaimed Property.
This role will provide some hands-on experience for the intern in assets, cash and also how to prep for an audit.
Major Responsibilities:
Basic account reconciliations
Matching AR to Cash transactions
Reviewing Fixed assets and updating schedules as needed.
Support Customer service and PHP Accounting team with unclaimed property
Preparing journal entries during month-end close.
Assist with pulling, compiling, and uploading audit support for statutory and external audits.
Ad-hoc requests from within and outside the GL team.
Required Competencies:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Strong organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
Excel Be able to review mass amounts of data
Follow directions
Minimum Qualifications:
Junior/Senior level Student
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous accounting internship
Excel skills (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
A successful candidate works well in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
