Senior Tax Analyst

Location: San Rafael, CA (Hybrid - 1 day/week onsite)

12-Month W2 Contract Assignment (potential to extend / convert)

Pay Range: $55 – $59/hour

 

Overview:

Our client, a world leader bio-tech company who focuses on delivering therapeutics that provide meaningful advances to patients who live with serious and life-threatening rare genetic diseases, is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join their Global & Corporate Finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and motivated professional with strong technical tax and accounting skills. The Senior Tax Analyst will play a key role in supporting ASC 740 tax accounting, compliance, and other tax-related operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in calculating and documenting Federal taxable income for quarterly and annual tax provisions.

Prepare and maintain income tax return workpapers, estimates, extensions, and various periodic tax filings (sales and use tax, franchise tax, property tax, and state-specific requirements).

Submit related payment requests and ensure timely compliance.

Support ad-hoc finance projects and other tax-related duties as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.

2 to 4+ years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

M.S. in Taxation and/or CPA certification.

Experience with Oracle Finance and/or Hyperion Financial Management.

Familiarity with ONESOURCE Tax Provision software.

Experience with Alteryx.

Background in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
