Plant Production Supervisor
Respected dairy cooperative is seeking a Plant Production Supervisor at Middlebury, VT plant location.
The typical schedule is a 10-hour shift from 6p-4a with workdays scheduled on a rotating basis.
Schedule could also be 12 hours/day from 4p-4a.
Schedule may be subject to change depending on plant production needs.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Direct responsibility for cheese and whey production to ensure that quality, volume, cost standards, and customer specifications are achieved.
Strong leadership for production employees within the plant along with promoting and modeling a culture of ethics, integrity, safety, quality, efficiency and constant application of best practices.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of an Associates Degree (Bachelor's strongly preferred) plus 3-5+ years of experience in a food manufacturing environment (dairy processing preferred).
Specific requirements include:
Demonstrated leadership abilities including the ability to train, motivate, coach and lead others.
Solid knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety and Food Quality (SQF) programs.
Analytical, problem solving, continuous improvement skills and computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.
