Full job description

Candidate must possess a degree/ good understanding & knowledge (Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical) and a minimum of 1 year hands on experience and technical competency within cutting tools & metalworking, process design, implementation and management experience in a Manufacturing environment with an emphasis on tool life management, machine up-time, work-holding, manufacturer communications and lean applications.

Work with large manufacturers to make a difference in the output and performance of their company.

You can help them identify and help fix the issues they are having.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

Identify and recommend tools best matched to the application and machining parameters

Trouble shoot performance and tool life problems and make recommendations regarding corrective actions

Analyze customer's performance based on tool use and suggest new tool designs to determine possible improvements

Manufacturer Management

Vendor tasking and status updates

Top Efficient/Inefficient Tools by Department

Tool Life Improvements

Quality Improvements

Support Productivity Improvements

Work with manufacturers on Tooling improvements and problem resolution

Support all Tooling, Process and Manufacturing Engineers

Attend Plant production Tooling meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:

Expertise in all types of milling cutting tools, including indexable tools, solid carbide tools etc.

Must be able to at least comfortably talk about types of tools, grades, failure methods, etc.

Well-rounded understanding of materials, surface finishes, and surface treatments.

Proficiency in Microsoft office and reading blueprints is a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person. The individual will be expected to spend 70-80% of time in the Minerva, OH plant and the additional 20-30% of time going to Wooster, OH. 

(3 - 4 days on-site in Minerva & 1 - 2 days in Wooster/could fluctuate as time goes on).

Relocation Assistance Will Be Provided, $3K for moving personal goods
