Receptionist Position At Aultman Hospital

The receptionist works under the direction of leadership in imaging services and provides support as it relates to daily operations. The receptionist must provide patients with focused compassionate care to ensure the patients needs are met. The receptionist must communicate with patients and colleagues professionally and efficiently while providing high quality service.The department provides support to the patients and colleagues of the imaging services department. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Healthcare experience, preferred. Skills: Comfortable speaking and communicating with colleagues and patients. Detail oriented. Communicate effectively. Adaptability to changing work environment or needs. Computer keyboard skills preferred.Responsibilities: Identify each patient and review physician orders for accuracy. Receive all outpatients upon arrival. Register, complete necessary forms/consents. Schedule Inpatient, Outpatient and other exams and arrange for patient transport. Medical record documentation in HIS and RIS or systems required per department.Maintain cleanliness of equipment and stock supplies. Communicate pertinent information to supervisor or responsible individual. Communicate with patients and address any questions or concerns. Complete and adhere to knowledge gained through annual employee education. Meet and interact with the public in a mature, courteous, and professional manner.Utilize technology and programs within the department. Maintain Aultman attendance standards. Adhere to Aultman policies and procedures. Working Conditions: Hours may vary as required by job. Weekends and holidays. Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day.Lunch periods and breaks are coordinated with other staff members to maintain adequate coverage. Cross training in areas of the department as required. Colleagues may be assigned to different locations within the foundation. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
