Position Overview

Nevada State Parks is seeking a dependable and customer-focused

Retail Storekeeper

to support operations at our visitor center gift shop. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming environment for park guests while managing retail operations, maintaining inventory, and supporting vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities

Greet visitors and provide excellent customer service, including sharing information about the park and available merchandise Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to accurately process retail transactions Manage inventory, including restocking shelves and receiving product deliveries Collaborate with vendors to place orders and assist in developing site-specific merchandise that reflects the unique features of the parkPerform accurate cash handling and ensure timely, secure deposits Maintain clean, organized, and shopper-friendly retail and visitor center areas Create attractive product displays that enhance the guest experience Perform basic custodial duties such as dusting, sweeping, and vacuuming Utilize general office equipment and Microsoft Word/Excel for basic administrative tasksQualifications

Previous retail, customer service, or inventory experience preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to operate standard office and retail equipment Self-motivated with attention to detail and a positive attitudeAdditional Requirements
