Call Center Representative/Floater (Full-Time) – GYN Oncology Practice (Fairfax, VA)

Our client is a premier OB/GYN network serving the Greater Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland region. Their GYN Oncology division is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Call Center Representative to join their fast-paced, patient-focused practice. This full-time role is primarily based in Fairfax, VA.

About the Role:

They are a high-volume, compassionate GYN Oncology practice committed to delivering exceptional care. The Call Center Representative will manage high call volumes, schedule appointments, and support front-office operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a dynamic clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage high-volume incoming calls with professionalism and accuracy

Schedule, confirm, and modify patient appointments

Accurately relay patient messages to clinical teams and physicians via EMR

Provide courteous and effective communication to patients, families, and internal staff

Assist with front desk coverage and general administrative tasks as needed

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Perform additional office support duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a medical call center or medical front desk setting (required)

Solid understanding of medical office operations and insurance terminology

Experience with EMR systems (NextGen preferred)

Skills & Competencies:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Calm under pressure with excellent problem-solving skills

Professional demeanor and team-oriented attitude

Technical Requirements:

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook

Comfortable using standard office equipment

Ability to wear a headset and work at a computer for extended periods

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods

Frequent phone use throughout the day

Preferred Attributes:

Quick learner with a proactive mindset

Experience with NextGen EMR system (a plus)

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively

Range: $17/hr. to $21/hr. based on experience
