PGS Worldwide is seeking a Mechanical/Structural Analysis Engineer to support high-impact aerospace and satellite programs within the Tactical Space Systems division. Join a fast-paced, innovation-driven team delivering next-generation spacecraft for defense and commercial applications. This is an initial 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity, and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.
Job Description:
Perform static and dynamic structural analysis for spacecraft components and subsystems
Review material and structural requirements to ensure design compliance
Select and interpret technical data, specifications, and engineering principles for space applications
Prepare and release technical documentation and engineering reports
Coordinate and conduct structural test programs to validate designs
Work collaboratively to refine concepts and integrate improvements across engineering teams
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM field
5+ years of experience in structural analysis (or 3+ years with a Master’s degree)
Proficiency with NX FEMAP/NASTRAN or equivalent spacecraft structural analysis tools
U.S. Citizenship is required (due to government contract eligibility)
Ability to perform structural engineering tasks involving analysis, design, or testing
Desired:
Experience with MATLAB for data analysis and modeling
Background in spacecraft static or dynamic testing
Understanding of space-qualified materials and structural compliance standards
