Accounting Technician I
The Accounting Technician I processes invoices and prepares and distributes checks.
Possesses good communication skills to interact with internal and external customers.
Processes departmental mail.
Processes check requests and prepares payments for distribution.
Sorts and distributes departmental mail.
Assists, investigates, and responds to all requests pertaining to the area of business.
Processes voids and/or stop payments using bank software.
Confirms, reconciles, and pays all appropriately approved expenditures in a timely fashion.
Minimizes late fees and penalties through accurate and efficient processing.
Monitors internal controls by obtaining proper authorizations and reviewing approval limits.
Reviews the propriety of disbursements and collects appropriate information for governmental reporting.
