Position Overview
This
role
focused on maintenance, reliability, and technical services in a manufacturing/chemical plant environment (located in
Georgetown, South Carolina
).
This person oversees the Technical Services Department to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production operations.
It is a strategic, hands-on position in a family-operated company.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and optimize
preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance
programs.
Oversee
reliability initiatives
, maintenance execution, and asset integrity programs.
Track and report on
maintenance KPIs
to drive continuous improvement.
Conduct
root cause analyses
for recurring equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
Manage
CMMS
(Computerized Maintenance Management System) performance, spare parts, planning, and scheduling.
Partner with Production, Engineering, Procurement, and Safety teams to maximize equipment uptime.
Support capital projects, technical reviews, and compliance with standards (OSHA, API, ASME, ISO, etc.).
Facilitate process hazard analyses (e.g., HAZOP, What-If) and sustainability/energy optimization initiatives.
Lead and mentor a team including a Reliability Engineer, Lead Millwright, Lead E&I Technician, and Maintenance Planner.
Requirements & Qualifications
10+ years
of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (chemical manufacturing preferred).
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred; significant relevant experience can substitute).
Strong knowledge of reliability systems, industrial equipment, maintenance best practices, and asset lifecycle management.
Experience with CMMS systems and interpreting technical/regulatory documents.
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a plant setting (PPE, stairs, occasional lifting, etc.).
