Job Title: Pipefitter Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipefitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including locations, quantities, and material specifications. You will select the type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment according to specifications, cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes, and prepare, cut, fabricate, layout, fit, position, and assemble piping components together in various positions.Responsibilities Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work including locations, quantities, and material specifications. Prepare, cut, fabricate, layout, fit, position, and assemble piping components together in various positions.Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding. Install hangers, supports, valves, and components according to piping system plans and specifications. Perform leak tests to ensure the quality of the pipe and piping systems. Proper identification and use of tools required for tasks such as grinders, drills, and beveling machines.Operate forklifts and overhead cranes. Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment. Essential Skills

Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings. Understanding of how to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and instructions to determine work procedures. Ability to read and understand weld symbols, weld procedures, mechanical and structural drawings. Proficiency in using Oxy/fuel and Plasma hand cutting torches and plasma cutting equipment.Additional Skills&Qualifications

Pipe fitting experience with ASME B31.3, B31.4, and API 1104 codes. Experience in welding and/or tacking using the GTAW process. Familiarity with weld inspections and inspection documentation. NCCER Certification as an Industrial Pipe Fitter. Formal or technical education in a related field. Why Work Here?

The local work schedule is from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Initially, some travel will be required until more local projects begin. Travel may be necessary from time to time, but will not exceed three-week stints. The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
