Lead Database Engineer, North Carolina

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead Database Engineer with our client in the financial Industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

Serve as a technical lead for the design, development, and support of enterprise database systems (SQL Server & MongoDB)

Design, model, and implement robust data warehouse-based applications

Identify and address data quality gaps, and lead data cleaning and optimization initiatives

Lead development of scalable, automated, and intelligent reporting/analytics solutions

Write, optimize, and debug complex SQL queries and scripts

Implement and manage ETL pipelines, batch jobs, and integrations using tools like Autosys

Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile tools like JIRA and Confluence

Apply CI/CD methodologies using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, uDeploy, and Liquibase

Leverage APIs and advanced analytics techniques to drive insights and business value

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Database Development, or a related field

Hands-on experience with:

SQL Server and MongoDB

ETL tools and methodologies

Data Cleaning and transformation processes

CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub, uDeploy, Liquibase)

Batch job scheduling with Autosys

Agile project tools (JIRA, Confluence)

API integration and data flow design

Experience leading enterprise-level database teams and initiatives.

Ability to optimize performance of complex data environments.

Strong understanding of data warehousing architecture.

Familiarity with modern analytics stacks and visualizations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay Range: $60-70
