Software Big Data Operations Engineer, North Carolina

Job Descriptions:

In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.

Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.

Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.

Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

Team Objectives:

They aren't working from development. This team supports Infrastructure, troubleshooting.

This is a Big Data set up, working with Data Lake partners to set up for new tenants etc.

This is a Data Platform and there are 14+ applications that are supported.

The team is moving from Big Data platform to Cloud, Cloud emblement experience is important

Required Qualifications: (The team is OK with more experience than this, this would be a minimum):

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

4+ years of hands-on experience in Hadoop

4+ years of experience with Teradata

4+ years of experience with MongoDB

4+ years of experience with AWS or GCP

4+ years of experience with GitHub

4+ years of experience designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting for projects and programs

3+ years of experience with Python & Unix/Shell scripting, Scala, Spark, HBase, Oozie, Flume, Druid and Kafka

3+ years of experience with Ansible

3+ years of experience with Airflow and Autosys

1+ years of experience with Dremio

2+ years of experience in setting up monitoring dashboards thru Grafana or Prometheus

1+ years of experience with Kubernetes

Desired Qualifications:

Data analytics capabilities and mindset at scale.

Ability to interact effectively at varying levels of the business and technical organization

Nice to be from Financial Services but not required
