Location: Charlotte, NC/Hybrid Duration: 11-12 Months with possible contract to hire Position Summary: This role involves design, development and review all the database changes in the bank. As a Database Engineer he/she will apply industry accepted design and development practices for perform all the database related changes like DB design, normalization, SQL/ PL-SQL using Agile MethodologyPrimary Skill- Oracle SQL / PLSQL Secondary Skill-MS SQL Server Tertiary Skill- Performance Tuning and Capacity Monitoring Engineer Required Qualifications: Expert-level proficiency in latest Oracle Database version. Proficiency in TOAD and similar tools Experience in OEM Strong Experience in SQL and PL/ SQL programmingProven experience in Database Design and Data modeling (ER Diagram and Normalization) Strong understanding of Oracle architecture, memory structure and background processes. Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent communication and leadership capabilities. Hands-on experience in performance tuning, including:Query Optimization Indexing strategies Use of AWR, ASH and Explain plan, etc. Desired Qualifications: Worked in financial domain. Knowledge of shell scripting, python for automation database tasks. Familiarity with DevOps practice and tools like Jenkins, GIT and Datical.
