Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.
/ppWarehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product.
This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc.
Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
/ppJob Summary/ppThe Supervisor, Warehouse Operations supervises a team of Outbound Associates and ensures that pick, pack, and ship operations are safe, efficient, and of high quality.
With responsibility for a day or night shift, the Supervisor continually monitors efficiency and quality metrics, assigns work and provides coaching to supervised staff, and addresses a variety of operational issues.
The Supervisor directly contributes to Cardinal Healths customer service reputation by ensuring that shipments are on-time and of high quality, develops the Warehouse Operations talent pool, and enhances operational excellence.
/ppResponsibilities/pulliDirect and manage a team of ***** warehouse associates to achieve timely distribution and receipt of products and motivate employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards including cycle times, lines per hour, shortages, damaged units, missed dispatches, and missed scans, among others are achieved/liliMonitor site productivity standards and hold associates accountable to daily, weekly, monthly metrics; provide timely feedback and initiate corrective action process when needed/liliAdhere to budgetary guidelines, and work to meet Distribution Center objectives and operational goals while maintaining standards pertaining to quality and inventory/liliResponsible for continuous improvement projects and initiatives/liliPerform daily scheduling of the work force to ensure proper staffing to select, replenish, restock, locate, and ship merchandise in a productive and cost-efficient manner/liliCoordinate maintenance of equipment, guiding both preventive maintenance and coordinating all necessary repairs/liliActive engagement in employee development, which includes training, coaching, counseling, and performance appraisals/liliMajority of work day is spent on the floor while balancing administrative duties/liliCollaborate with cross functional teams at all levels within the organization, specifically within HR groups daily/liliInterview and make hiring decisions for lead and associate level roles/liliMaintain general responsibility for disciplinary process in counseling, oral and written warnings; ensure a productive work climate in the warehouse operation/liliPrepare ad hoc reports, as necessary using Excel (or any other necessary programs)/liliResponsible for accurate attendance/PTO records and ensure scheduling is maintained/liliHold staff accountable for conducting work in a safe manner while enforcing Cardinal Health compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State and local authorities/li/ulpQualifications/pulliHigh school diploma or GED preferred, Bachelors degree a plus/lili3-5 years related supervisory experience preferred/liliPrior experience with continuous improvement projects and initiatives (Lean Six Sigma)/liliStrong written and verbal communication skills/liliPrevious experience leading a team/liliStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (Pivot Tables and spreadsheets)/liliExperience working within ERPs (SAP or Manhattan) preferred/li/ulpWhat is expected of you and others at this level/pulliCoordinates and supervises the daily activities of business support, technical or production staff in an assigned area/liliSets priorities for the team to ensure task completion, coordinates work activities with other supervisors/liliApplies expertise to solve standard and non-standard problems within own area/liliRole models Cardinal Healths high ethical standards and code of conduct/liliProvides direction in discussing and creating development plans/liliProvides input into succession planning process for own work area/liliAligns individual goals for self and others with work area/functional goals/liliBuilds confidence and respect of others through a positive and energizing style/liliWorks within budgetary/ financial objectives set by manager, applying knowledge of profit drivers to work processes within own area/liliBuilds customer relationships, interprets customer needs and assesses their business requirements/liliLeverages customer knowledge to develop alternative solutions and shares key learnings with others/liliResolves day-to-day or routine problems using defined processes/liliWorks/brainstorms with work team and provides suggestions for solutions that contain the appropriate level of risk; ensures work team understands and supports the focus on operational excellence/li/ulpAnticipated salary range: $67,********,300/ppBonus eligible: No/ppBenefits: Cardinal Health offers a wide variety of benefits and programs to support health and well-being.
