Customer Service Representative

About the Role
We're looking for a Customer Care Rep on behalf of our client.
This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2).
This team is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Customer Care Representative to support the utility bill management operations.
This role is ideal for someone who succeeds, enjoys problem-solving, and is committed to delivering a high level of service.
You will help ensure accurate account management and a seamless customer experience.
You will report to the onsite manager.
Location: **** N Buffalo St. Orchard Park, NY ***** OR **** Main St. Williamsville, NY *****
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a primary contact for customers, utility providers, vendors, and third-party suppliers.
Address and resolve customer inquiries and concerns, ensuring follow-up and complete resolution
Manage daily activities related to utility billing, including account setup, maintenance, and closure
Provide support on billing inquiries, disconnection notices, and utility/vendor contract matters
Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records within CRM and billing systems
Monitor account activity and identify discrepancies or issues requiring attention
Analyze recurring customer concerns and recommend process improvements to enhance service delivery
Help with special projects and contribute to ongoing operational and process improvement projects
Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent experience (at least 4 years in a customer-facing role)
We prefer experience in energy or utilities, but we do not require it.
We require proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and Word
