Entry-level Accountant

SALARY RANGE: $40,000 - $48,000

CONTRACT LENGTH: 260 days

FMLA STATUS: Exempt

QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold a Bachelorâs degree in accounting or finance with related experience in accounting and budgeting, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the noted knowledge, skills, and abilities. Experience working with an integrated financial computer software program. Must have a comprehensive knowledge of, and the ability to practically apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for governments. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access is preferred. Must possess excellent analytical and organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both oral and written. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators and staff.

SUMMARY: Position is responsible for assisting the Director of Finance and Budget and performing accounting transactions.
