Join our team in a unique role providing various engineering support services during Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Availabilities and AEGIS Modernization (AMOD) availability events. The selected candidate will technically compile and validate assessment data during various events, interfacing routinely with Ship's Force to facilitate closure of equipment discrepancies and part requisition issues and provide technical and administrative tasking in support of ship readiness.

The ideal candidate is detail and goal oriented, has a high level of self-accountability, professionalism, motivation, and dedication, has a strong attention to detail, and works well independently and within a team setting. Tasking is performed in both office and industrial (shipboard/shipyard) environments.

The selected candidate will ensure the successful completion of Performance Based deliverables using BAE Systems and customer processes, work instructions, and customer's directives. This process requires a critical eye for technical soundness, consistency, and adherence to governing documentation. A working knowledge of Ships' Current Ships Maintenance Project (CSMP) will aid in successfully verifying technical data.

Integration and effective communication with Ship's Force, including work center supervisors and supply personnel, will aid in tracking deficiencies and parts through resolution and job closure. The candidate may be required to assist other team members and teams in necessary operations. Travel may be required for availability coverage, training and representing BAE Systems at fleet, government, and contractor liaison meetings.

This position is located in Norfolk, VA. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Norfolk, VA or surrounding areas.

Required Skills and Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical, business, computer science of IT discipline and 3 years of related work experience; or Associate degree and 4 years of related work experience; or High School diploma and 6 years of related work experience At least 3 years of experience supporting military programsWorking knowledge of Ship's CSMP and/or 2Kilo writing Proficiency with MS 365 (TEAMS, Word, Excel, Access) and Adobe products
