Openings: 20Brinkman Industrial Services is seeking motivated, hardworking individuals to join our growing team supporting corrosion mitigation and sustainment operations aboard U.S. Navy vessels. This is a hands-on industrial position involving shipboard surface preparation, cleaning, priming, painting, and corrosion prevention work.No NACE certification required. Training will be provided for specialized corrosion prevention applications including composite materials and select 3M and Valkyrie corrosion mitigation products.Compensation&BenefitsStarting Pay: $27/hour for the first 90 daysIncreased Pay: $29/hour after successful completion of initial 3 monthsFull-Time EmploymentEmployee benefits available6-Month Probationary PeriodOpportunities for advancement and additional certificationsJob DutiesResponsibilities include but are not limited to:Cleaning exterior ship surfaces including freeboard and superstructure areas affected by rust and corrosionSurface preparation using pneumatic and hand tools such as:Needle gunsGrindersScrapersWire brushesPriming and painting shipboard surfacesPaint preparation and coating applicationInstallation of composite scuppers and corrosion mitigation materialsApplication of protective products including 3M PPF systemsCorrosion mitigation on ancillary equipment, catwalks, mast areas, davits, and deck edge componentsGeneral cleaning, preparation, priming, and painting of accessible shipboard areas and equipmentMinimum RequirementsApplicants must:Be able to pass a background checkApplicants must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.Be able to pass a drug screeningPossess or be able to obtain a CAC or DBIDS cardBe capable of lifting at least 50 lbs.Be able to stand for extended periods of timeBe comfortable climbing ladders and going up/down stairs frequentlyBe comfortable working at heightsBe comfortable working in dark, enclosed, confined, or tight spacesBe able to wear masks and tight-fitting respirators for extended periodsBe able to work effectively in a team environmentBe dependable, punctual, and safety-consciousObtain OSHA 10 certification within 15 days of employment (if not already certified)Required PPEEmployees are required to maintain and use proper PPE including:Tight-fitting paint respiratorsHard hatsSteel-toe bootsSafety glassesHearing protectionPreferred QualificationsThe following certifications/experience are preferred but not required:Boom lift certificationForklift certificationTight-fitting respirator fit certificationPrevious industrial painting or shipyard experienceExperience using pneumatic tools and compressed air systemsTrainingBrinkman Industrial Services will provide job-specific training related to corrosion prevention systems, composite materials, and specialized protective product applications.If you are reliable, safety-minded, and ready to work in a fast-paced industrial environment, we encourage you to apply.recblid df41zz86e89mvd93hm269g523sl5w2
