Job Opportunity: Electrical Engineer
Location: Merrillville/South Bend, IN
Salary: $65K - $100K

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead projects in the heavy industry, metals, chemical/petrochemical, and environmental sectors. As part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including leading project teams, mentoring junior engineers, engaging with clients, and ensuring compliance with construction documents. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and impactful projects across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals

Manage multiple projects, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets

Assist in preparing proposals and defining project scopes

Size breakers, starters, conduits, and cables

Develop 2-D orthographic designs, single-line diagrams, and network diagrams

Conduct project forecasts, cost estimates, and feasibility studies

Oversee electrical systems installations, ensuring compliance with construction documents

Communicate with clients to manage budgets and oversee installations

Ensure all work complies with the Health and Safety Plan

Represent the company positively and uphold its core values

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering

At least 10 years of relevant experience in the industrial sector (15+ years preferred)

Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required

Familiarity with NEC, IEC, ISA, and IEEE design standards is a plus

Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred, but not mandatory

Strong specification writing skills

Management experience leading an electrical engineering team preferred

Experience with arc-flash studies is a plus

Ability to safely navigate construction sites and adhere to safety regulations
