Job Description: Sr Copywriter

Summary:

A well-rounded writer who can translate strategy into creative writing with little guidance. A person vocal enough to advocate for and uphold our brand standards. A person with an aptitude for learning new platforms and software because at bank, there are many. Some one who is creative but also competent with complex and detailed jobs—a true split-brain creative.

Responsibilities:

Balance overseeing detailed copy and editorial reviews of some external writing with hands-on writing.

Be an advocate for our Brand standards with internal and external agency partners.

Contribute to the development of the business voice for bank.

Write compelling headlines, human-centered copy as well as technically accurate details for financial services.

Verbal communication of feedback when in a reviewer role of others’ work.

Brainstorm big concepts one day and tackle detail-oriented projects the next.

Develop or oversee copy development for video and animation projects.

Collaborate with team (read: Art Directors, Creative Directors, Brand and Marketing Strategists) and clients (read: Internal Marketing Partners & Line of Business clients)

Autonomously manage multiple deadlines on numerous, concurrent projects.

Deliver work with meticulous attention to detail on time, everytime.

Listen to and incorporate feedback like a champ.

Understand the goals of a project, take direction well, and ask questions when need clarification.

Display strong presentation skills while being expected to articulate and sell work.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Military Experience

At least 3 years of copywriting or creative writing experience in a professional setting

Portfolio of creative work

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Creative Writing or Journalism

Experience in B2B Marketing or financial services industry

Creative agency experience is preferred
