About the Role
The Company is seeking an Interim Chief Financial Officer to provide senior financial leadership in a long-term contract role.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on executive with a strong background in both public and private sector financial environments, capable of balancing strategic planning with day-to-day financial oversight.
Responsibilities for this position include directing the finance function, driving the annual budgeting cycle, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory expectations.
The CFO will also be responsible for audit readiness, strengthening internal control practices, and monitoring financial risk to protect the organization's integrity.
Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years' progressive finance leadership experience, including a role as a Chief Financial Officer or equivalent executive position.
A background in organizations that follow GASB or similar governmental accounting standards is essential.
The role requires a candidate with strong expertise in cash flow analysis, capital management, month-end close, and financial reporting, as well as a proven ability to quickly assess and deliver impact in complex organizational settings.
The successful candidate will have a hands-on leadership style, strong analytical judgment, strategic thinking, and excellent executive communication skills.
Experience in business systems and finance process improvement initiatives is also necessary.
