Description
Number 52 of 170 copies, signed by the author and the illustrator, published by The Previous Parrot Press. A further 36 copies were hand coloured - in this copy only the two plates on the slipcase are hand coloured. This copy was from the library of the illustrator. Book and slipcase in as new condition. William Neill (1922 - 2010) was an Ayrshire-born poet who wrote in Scottish and Irish Gaelic, Scots and English. He was a major contributing voice to the Scottish Renaissance. Stanley Dobbin (1929-2021) was born in Birmingham but moved to Devon and later to Manchester where he worked as a printmaker, painter and teacher of art. His woodcuts show the influence of the German Expressionists.
