Regional Event Manager, Ohio

Overview:
Champion is seeking a Regional Event Manager

 

As the Regional Event Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing events, primarily tradeshows, conferences and canvassing program to increase Champion awareness and lead generation in your specific region. You will identify goals, develop strategies, manage budget, track pre-event and post-event results to maximize leads for your region.

Responsibilities:
Assist Event Managers (EMs) with Event Demonstrators (ED) hiring/duties when location is vacant; build an exceptional team to deliver highest ROI per event

Attend / support regional events, hiring/recruitment opportunities & conduct training with Event Managers / Demonstrators as needed in Region – up to 50% travel

Develop / manage Event Managers and implement training to the region

Analyze training needs; develop & deliver comprehensive training to event staff on engagement/canvassing techniques, lead generation, etc. as well as refresher courses

Handle weekly, monthly, and quarterly department communications

Responsible for planning and logistical coordination to special events including but not limited to home shows, community events, fairs and trade shows, corporate events and showroom events

Qualifications:
2-5 years + experience in events, events marketing, and/or field marketing.

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, related field or equivalent experience

Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Proven ability to develop, coach and motivate talent using various media channels

Experience in a training & supervisory role

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Organizational and time management skills

Budget management and home improvement lead generation a plus

Ability for extensive travel anywhere in the US (50% travel possible)

Solid attendance record
