Your Role as an Activities Driver: Provide safe and on-time transportation for resident activities Assist residents with boarding and un-boarding the vehicle Perform inspection of facility vehicle prior to every trip and report any damage or safely concerns to Activities Director Report all accidents and incidents to Activities Director Provide current proof of insurability annually or as requested Communicate in a positive manner with healthcare team members, residents, families, visitors and vendors Adhere to facility policies and procedures, including infection control, safety, and HIPAA regulations Responsible for attending in-service programs, educational workshops and meetings as required by the facility and state What We're Looking For: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must be a minimum of 18 years of age Must possess a current Commercial Driver’s License with a passenger endorsement Must possess personal vehicle insurance coverage and provide ongoing proof of coverage Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and, to work independently and as a part of a team Ability to remain calm and cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, emotional upset and at times, hostile elderly Must be in good general health and free of communicable diseases Must have visual acuity and ability to hear, with or without use of prosthetics Must have the physical ability to lift,push, pull and move equipment in excess of 25 pounds Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents from the vehicle and/or activity if needed Must have the ability to read, write and speak the English language Your Next Step Starts Here!
