The Shipping and Receiving Associate manages incoming and outgoing materials, maintains accurate inventory records, and supports daily warehouse operations. This role involves handling shipments, operating a sit-down forklift, stocking products, and entering data into the materials system to ensure efficient and accurate order processing.Responsibilities Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and descriptions against shipping documents. Process outgoing shipments using carriers such as UPS and FedEx, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation. Stock products on shelves in an organized and efficient manner to support easy access and inventory control.Assist with unloading delivery trucks, typically about one truck per day, using appropriate equipment and safe handling practices. Input materials and shipment details into the materials control (MC) or inventory system with a high level of accuracy. Maintain inventory accuracy by updating records promptly and reporting discrepancies or damaged goods.Operate a sit-down forklift safely to move, load, and unload materials within the facility. Follow established shipping, receiving, and inventory procedures to support smooth warehouse operations. Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet daily shipping and receiving deadlines. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in accordance with workplace safety guidelines.Essential Skills Minimum of 1 year of shipping experience, ideally with UPS or FedEx. Proficiency in using computers to input and manage materials and shipping information. Experience with inventory, shipping, and receiving processes in a warehouse or distribution environment. Ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely and efficiently.Strong attention to detail for accurate data entry and shipment verification. Ability to perform physical tasks such as unloading trucks and stocking shelves. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and support daily operations. Job Type&Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clearwater, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
