divh2Job Title/h2pThe primary purpose of this position is the assembly and fabrication of mechanical parts, pieces, or products using a variety of primary and secondary equipment. This position reports to the Department Supervisor./ph3Essential Functions/h3ulliEnsure department objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner./liliOperate primary and secondary equipment in the assigned work area./liliPerform complex assembly of small precision parts using a variety of hand tools and devices including but not limited to wrenches, nut drivers, and air gaging./liliUtilize test rigs to test and verify part performance./liliIndependently produce the first part making all necessary adjustments for quality./liliPackage finished product and palletize./liliMay perform some quality control functions including but not limited to visual inspection./liliDimensionally check parts for conformance to operation drawing using inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, comparators, and other required inspection equipment./liliResets tooling and maintains proper size by adjusting or correcting the machine or reports variations to supervision./liliPackage finished product, palletizing/li/ulh3Additional Responsibilities/h3ulliComplete required work documents, such as timesheets, productivity reports, move tags, inspection sheets, etc./liliRead and understand work tickets, SPC charts, operator checks, and blueprints./liliUtilize appropriate safety equipment and work techniques./liliMaintain quality standards according to verbal or written work instructions./liliLubricate or perform machine maintenance without supervision./liliComply with all company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations./liliKeep work area clean./liliPerform other work as directed by supervision./li/ulh3Required Physical and Environmental Demands/h3ulliStand, squat, and bend for prolonged periods of time. Work and move among departments. Excellent hand/eye coordination. Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 40 pounds repetitively. Manual dexterity to operate manual and CNC primary and secondary equipment./li/ulh3Education, Experience, and Skills Required/h3ulliA mechanical background for the equipment, processes, inspection procedures, and methods of manufacturing our product within their area./liliKnowledge of reading simple blueprints and using inspection equipment./liliAbility to read, write and communicate in English in order to promote trainability and interpret work documents including manuals./liliBasic math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals in order to read understand and operate measurement instruments and work documents./liliHigh energy level, comfortable handling multiple tasks in conjunction with day-to-day activities./liliGood interpersonal skills. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature, flexible./liliGood reasoning abilities, and sound judgment./liliGood communication skills./liliResourceful and well organized./liliAble to perform without direct supervision./liliVisual acuity to inspect parts before use and after/li/ul/div
