Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs billing, collections, and account follow-up to ensure accurate claim submission and timely reimbursement.
- Reconciles cash postings, resolves payment discrepancies, and maintains compliance with payor and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicates effectively with patients, payors, and internal teams to resolve inquiries and support account resolution.
- Strong knowledge of UB-04, HCFA 1500, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 with experience in hospital billing and collections.
- Proficient in cash reconciliation, claim edits, payor guidelines, and resolving denials or underpayments.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Revenue Cycle environment.
- HS Diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years of hospital billing, collections, or Revenue Cycle experience preferred.
