Description

Job Responsibilities:
  • Administer, maintain, and support EMS systems through various upgrade and testing cycles.
  • Integrate EMS applications, perform monitoring, and conduct routine maintenance.
  • Conduct structured and unstructured testing, logging defects in tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with business leads, project managers, EMS vendors, and development teams to reproduce and resolve defects.
  • Assist GMS Applications Engineering with implementing fixes and releases across testing environments.
  • Coordinate database updates and upgrades for EMS environments.
  • Support Operations Engineers, Market Operations, and business units during EMS acceptance testing.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation to support EMS use and administration.
  • Perform code builds, patch implementations, and system migrations.
  • Respond to system failures and operator inquiries on a 24/7 basis.
  • Conduct emergency recovery, troubleshooting, and repairs for EMS systems, applications, and interfaces.
  • Maintain real-time data collection and ensure EMS system effectiveness.
  • Proactively identify and resolve design and operational issues.
  • Participate in EMS Disaster Recovery Drills and test/certify changes to production and test environments.
  • Evaluate the impact of system modifications and maintenance on  grid operations.
