GMS Systems Analyst, Texas

Description

Job Responsibilities:

Administer, maintain, and support EMS systems through various upgrade and testing cycles.
Integrate EMS applications, perform monitoring, and conduct routine maintenance.
Conduct structured and unstructured testing, logging defects in tracking tools.
Collaborate with business leads, project managers, EMS vendors, and development teams to reproduce and resolve defects.
Assist GMS Applications Engineering with implementing fixes and releases across testing environments.
Coordinate database updates and upgrades for EMS environments.
Support Operations Engineers, Market Operations, and business units during EMS acceptance testing.
Prepare and review technical documentation to support EMS use and administration.
Perform code builds, patch implementations, and system migrations.
Respond to system failures and operator inquiries on a 24/7 basis.
Conduct emergency recovery, troubleshooting, and repairs for EMS systems, applications, and interfaces.
Maintain real-time data collection and ensure EMS system effectiveness.
Proactively identify and resolve design and operational issues.
Participate in EMS Disaster Recovery Drills and test/certify changes to production and test environments.
Evaluate the impact of system modifications and maintenance on grid operations.
