Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and support EMS systems through various upgrade and testing cycles.
- Integrate EMS applications, perform monitoring, and conduct routine maintenance.
- Conduct structured and unstructured testing, logging defects in tracking tools.
- Collaborate with business leads, project managers, EMS vendors, and development teams to reproduce and resolve defects.
- Assist GMS Applications Engineering with implementing fixes and releases across testing environments.
- Coordinate database updates and upgrades for EMS environments.
- Support Operations Engineers, Market Operations, and business units during EMS acceptance testing.
- Prepare and review technical documentation to support EMS use and administration.
- Perform code builds, patch implementations, and system migrations.
- Respond to system failures and operator inquiries on a 24/7 basis.
- Conduct emergency recovery, troubleshooting, and repairs for EMS systems, applications, and interfaces.
- Maintain real-time data collection and ensure EMS system effectiveness.
- Proactively identify and resolve design and operational issues.
- Participate in EMS Disaster Recovery Drills and test/certify changes to production and test environments.
- Evaluate the impact of system modifications and maintenance on grid operations.
