Full-Time Starting at $20/hour DOE We are partnering with a well-established Colorado Springs organization to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist to support a busy accounting department. This is a long-term contract-to-hire opportunity with strong potential for permanent placement for the right individual.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed accounting work, invoice processing, and maintaining organized financial records in a collaborative office environment. The company is currently modernizing and implementing new systems and technology over the next several months, making this an exciting opportunity to join during a period of operational growth and improvement.

Schedule Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Position Overview The Accounts Payable Specialist will support day-to-day AP and accounting operations with a strong focus on invoice matching, batching, coding, and payment processing. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently.The ideal candidate is dependable, process-oriented, and comfortable working in an environment that is transitioning into more modernized systems and workflows.

Key Responsibilities Process high-volume accounts payable transactions Match, batch, code, and enter invoices accurately Review invoices for accuracy and proper approvals Assist with check runs, EFT payments, and vendor payments Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate financial and vendor recordsSupport invoice filing, scanning, and documentation management Communicate professionally with vendors and internal departments Assist with general accounting and administrative support as needed Help support process improvements and system transitions over time

Qualifications Previous accounts payable, accounting clerk, or bookkeeping experience preferred Experience with invoice matching and batching required Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Comfortable managing repetitive and high-volume tasks accurately Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and accounting softwareAbility to work independently while supporting a collaborative team environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Experience in property management, nonprofit, or multi-entity accounting environments is a plus
