Goodwill of Colorado is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) eligible employer.The Associate II, Retail Generalist, will have existing knowledge in retail products, merchandising, pricing, and quality inspection. Acting as a back-up for all areas within the retail store, the Retail Generalist could be performing multiple tasks in different departments on any given day. These tasks include but are not limited to: donation receiving, material handling, processing both hardline and softline goods, working the sales floor, and operating the cash registers. The Retail Generalist will work both in a production environment as well as being active on the sales floor. The Retail Generalist will have contact with customers and will need to provide excellent customer service displaying an "Attitude of Gratitude" in order to support the mission of the organization.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience: One (1) year of experience in retail, product placement, or merchandising is desired. One (1) year of cash handling is preferred. Other: Have a high attention to detail and ability to make decisions. Able to adapt to frequently changing work schedules and tasks. Able to obtain certification in all employee positions through completion of On the Job (OJT) documentation. Able to obtain Powered Equipment Operator certification to safely operate equipment. Ability to operate hydraulic baler. Ability to be walkie stacker and/or forklift certified to safely operate equipment. Able to withstand prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 8-hours per day. Able to lift up to 75lbs, use a dolly and pallet jack as required. Able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime as necessary.
