divh2Student Business Services Coordinator I/h2pCalifornia University of Science and Medicine (CUSM) is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Student Business Services Coordinator I to support the daily operations of Student Business Services. Reporting to the Executive Director of Student Business Services, this role serves as a primary point of contact for students and the campus community, assisting with student account services, cashiering, billing, and transactional processing. The Coordinator supports a variety of frontline operations, including processing payments, reconciling transactions, responding to student financial inquiries, managing records and online forms, and assisting with financial aid disbursements and student refunds. This role collaborates closely with departments across campus to help ensure accurate, timely, and student-centered service. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and service-oriented, with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism while maintaining confidentiality and providing compassionate, responsive support to students./ppThis position is available immediately and will remain open until filled. Applicants must be able to work on campus four days a week./ph3Position Purpose/h3pUnder the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Student Business Services, the Student Business Services Coordinator I (Coordinator) serves as the primary point of contact for Student Business Services and is responsible for supporting frontline operations, including cashiering, student account support, and transactional processing. This role ensures accurate, timely processing of financial transactions and delivers exceptional customer service to students and the CUSM community./ph3Essential Functions/h3p50% Customer Service and Office Operations/pulliServe as the main point of contact for Student Business Services, providing exceptional and timely customer service via phone, email, Teams chat, and in person./liliRespond to and counsel students regarding student account transactions, billing, online payments, tuition refund policies and calculations, student refunds, outstanding balances, direct deposit, 1098-T, payment plans, ID badge replacement, graduation fees, and general financial inquiries./liliCollaborate with Admissions, Student Records, Financial Aid, and other departments to resolve student inquiries and enrollment-related matters./liliSupport student account processes by applying or removing registration holds as appropriate./liliEscalate complex or sensitive student account issues to the appropriate staff in accordance with established procedures./li/ulp20% Cashiering and Payment Processing/pulliPerform all cashiering operations, including receiving, sorting, verifying, coding, and processing payments./liliReconcile daily cash receipts and prepare bank deposits in accordance with established procedures./liliProcess health insurance waivers and student registration deposits; produce reconciliation reports./liliVerify and process ID badge replacement payments./li/ulp15% Charges, Billing, and Financial Aid Support/pulliCharge and manage graduation-related fees and produce reconciliation reports./liliInvoice MBS prospective student application fees and generate payment reports./liliPerform third-party billing in accordance with established guidelines, including preparing invoices to governmental and external agencies and reconciling payments received./liliPost financial aid disbursements (Title IV, institutional, and external funds) and maintain supporting documentation./liliProcess and distribute student refunds accurately and on time./li/ulp5% Accounts Receivable and Reconciliation/pulliMonitor past due student accounts and perform follow-up communications based on established timelines and procedures./liliPerform daily balancing and reconciliation of receivables./li/ulp5% Records Management and Administrative Support/pulliManage and maintain online forms and related communications, including Direct Deposit, Student Financial Responsibility Agreements (SFRA), and Title IV Authorizations./liliTrack submissions, maintain accurate records and support data integrity in accordance with established processes, and perform follow-up communications to increase completion rates./li/ulp5% Other Duties as Assigned/ppRequired Educational Qualifications/ppHigh School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a minimum of three (3) years of experience related to the essential functions of this position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered./ppSkills and Abilities/pulliProficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft TEAMS, FileZilla, COD, NSLDS, FAA ACCESS, EMPOWER SIS./liliExcellent customer service skills./liliExcellent communication skills, including written and verbal acuity./liliAbility to maintain confidentiality;
