Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and ensure product quality. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and supporting production teams with technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for wire drawing, stranding, and closing operations.
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues in coordination with maintenance and production teams.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing throughput, reducing scrap, and improving product consistency.
Specify tooling and equipment requirements for production lines, and assist with new equipment installations and upgrades.
Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process optimization.
Analyze, design, and implement manufacturing processes and systems to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for process-related issues.
Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flow diagrams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, product management, engineering, and supply chain to ensure seamless production introductions and process changes.
Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, scrap rate, and throughput.
Conduct time studies, line balancing, and capacity analysis to support operational planning.
Utilize tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and FMEA to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards and regulations.
Support capital projects related to equipment upgrades, automation, and process enhancements.
