Looking for a role where your people skills are your superpower?
Read on.
United Way of Pickens County is expanding our Pathways at Work program and seeking a proactive, people-loving Success Coach to drive workforce financial stability at local employer partner sites.
This role is built for someone who is energized by being out in the community — walking partner worksites, meeting employees where they are, and turning brief conversations into lasting coaching relationships.
You'll combine case management, financial coaching, and community resource navigation to help workers overcome financial barriers that affect their lives and their jobs.
About You
• You're outgoing, optimistic, and quick to build rapport with just about anyone
• You take initiative — you spot opportunities to help and act on them without waiting to be asked
• You're a strong storyteller and ambassador who can confidently represent a program to employees, employers, and community partners
• You believe in people's ability to grow and change, and you bring that belief into every interaction
• You're organized, dependable, and comfortable balancing relationship-building with documentation and outcomes tracking
What You'll Do
• Establish a visible, welcoming presence at employer partner sites
• Proactively engage employees and build trust so they feel comfortable seeking support
• Provide confidential, strengths-based case management and one-on-one financial coaching
• Lead financial literacy workshops and on-site events that drive program awareness
• Connect employees to housing, healthcare, and other community resources
• Prepare tax returns through the Free File program and offer year-round tax support
• Track outcomes, maintain confidential records, and contribute to continuous program improvement
What We're Looking For
• Experience in case management, financial coaching, workforce development, or social services
• Outstanding relationship-building, communication, and documentation skills
• Cultural competence and a genuine desire to serve diverse populations
• Ability to obtain IRS VITA certification and Inform USA certification
• Comfort splitting time between employer partner sites and the UWPC office
If you're someone who shows up with energy, builds trust easily, and is ready to be the friendly, dependable face of a program that's changing lives — we'd love to meet you.
