About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its senior leadership team.
The CFO will be the Foundation's senior financial officer, responsible for implementing fiscal and investment policies, aligning financial planning with strategic priorities, and ensuring the Foundation's financial integrity and operational excellence.
This role involves leading the annual budgeting process, providing financial insights, and overseeing all financial operations, including fund accounting, audits, and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a CPA designation, and a minimum of 8-10 years' of progressive financial leadership experience, with a deep understanding of nonprofit accounting and fund accounting principles.
In addition to financial strategy and leadership, the CFO will also be involved in operations and administration, human resources and payroll oversight, governance, and external relations.
The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor, with exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, and a commitment to the mission of community philanthropy.
They will be expected to model the Foundation's values, contribute to strategic planning, and foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
Experience with fund-accounting software and a valid driver's license are preferred, and the candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check.
