Battery Test Technician
LER TechForce is looking for an experienced Test Technician to play a crucial role in the production and development of automotive IC, EV, and Hybrid engines. In this role, you can use your knowledge of battery harnesses and testing to make a difference in the automotive industry. Candidates should be self-motivated and excel working with cross-functional teams. This person should have a background in battery EV vehicles and systems and be a true problem solver who is comfortable interacting with engine test cells, prototyping vehicles, and working in test benches to troubleshoot issues.

JOB LOCATION:
Hybrid, Columbus, IN
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Using CANalyzer & PCAN for system monitoring, diagnostics and test article control
Utilizing digital multi-meters and other tools to build and diagnose harnesses issues
Work with test benches, test cells and prototypes to troubleshoot electrical/harness issues
Working with high voltage
Create test reports
Review test findings along with potential solutions
Generating needed artifacts per the engineering phase
Drive best harness design practices
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Strong background in instrumentation & harness building for signal communication especially CAN networks with a working knowledge of CANalyzer & PCAN for system monitoring, diagnostics, and test article control
Experience with test cell and workshop environments
High voltage experience
Enjoy a fast paced and dynamic work environment
2 plus years of experience
Humble, teachable, and solve their own problems
Effective and collaborative team player
Good communicator – written and verbal
MS office suit solid knowledge is required.
Great collaborator

AVL test equipment and test environments is a bonus, but someone who understands test environments like Lab View, Cyflex, etc and is willing to learn a new environment would do well

Experience with troubleshooting engine or vehicle electrical systems
