Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Elevator Worker for a contract/temporary opportunity in Plains, KS. This role is a great fit for someone with agriculture, grain handling, production, warehouse, or general labor experience who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

As an Elevator Worker, you will support daily grain elevator operations, assist with loading and unloading, help maintain a clean and safe work area, and contribute to efficient movement of agricultural products. This position offers the chance to build valuable industry experience while working with a supportive team focused on safety, reliability, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with receiving, loading, unloading, and transferring grain and other agricultural products.
- Operate or support the operation of basic elevator, conveyor, and material handling equipment as directed.
- Perform general labor tasks, including sweeping, shoveling, cleaning, and maintaining work areas.
- Follow safety procedures and report equipment issues, hazards, or maintenance needs promptly.
- Support quality checks, inventory movement, and daily operational tasks as assigned.
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production and shipping schedules.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $16 to $17.50 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.

- 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience preferred for this role.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, lifting, bending, and working in varying conditions.
- Strong attention to safety, instructions, and operational procedures.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Ability to follow directions, communicate clearly, and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Agriculture, grain elevator, warehouse, production, or general labor experience is helpful.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience working in a grain elevator, feed mill, farm operation, warehouse, or production facility.
- Familiarity with agricultural products, grain handling equipment, or material handling processes.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify basic equipment or maintenance concerns.
- Flexible attitude and willingness to assist with a variety of facility tasks as needed.
