Security Officer, Columbus

Overview: The Security Guard will protect people and property from possible criminal activity.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:• Patrols and monitors an assigned area; reports suspicious activities to management and local

authorities.• Monitors surveillance cameras, inspects property, and monitors crowds. • Contacts law enforcement, fire department, or EMS in case of an emergency. • After business hours, check doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure. • Investigates reports of suspicious activity onthe property.• Reasonably detains persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives. • Escorts discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises. • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS• Must be 18 years of age or older. • High school diploma or GED preferred. • Detail oriented and strong written/verbal communication required. • Basic mathematical skills required. • Must pass background check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time as well as walking, bending, and stooping on

occasion.• Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
