Join the Virtus Healthcare Staffing Team! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our partner, a healthcare facility in Zanesville, OH.

Provide Essential Diagnostic Imaging Services

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. You will utilize radiopharmaceuticals to perform a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Responsibilities:

Perform Nuclear Medicine Procedures:

Conduct a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including bone scans, cardiac imaging, thyroid scans, and PET/CT scans.

Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients.

Acquire high-quality images using nuclear medicine cameras.

Analyze images and identify potential abnormalities.

Patient Care:

Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures.

Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the examination process.

Provide patient education and answer questions.

Technical Expertise:

Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment effectively.

Ensure the accuracy and quality of all examinations.

Utilize radiation safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.

Communication & Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.

Prepare and interpret reports accurately and efficiently.

Quality Assurance:

Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities.

Qualifications:

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine (N).

Valid Ohio State license in Nuclear Medicine.

Experience with a variety of nuclear medicine procedures.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficient in the use of electronic medical records (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).

CPR Certified.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with PET/CT imaging.

Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
