Database Analyst
Position is hybrid (2 Days onsite a week) and must be located in: Columbus/New Albany OH, Shreveport LA, Roanoke VA, or Corpus Christi TX Duration: 12 Months potential conversion to FTE. Visa: USC, GC, GC-EAD Interview: Phone/Zoom MUST HAVE: 8+ years of experience: 1. Must be willing to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and on-call support.2. License/Certifications: SQL certified DBA 3. MongoDB experience 4. Ability to interact with developers Education requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering related field OR Associate degree with additional 2 years database administration (10 years of experience overall) related experienceDescription: Exhibits advanced knowledge of developing and supporting Database Management Systems and data modeling techniques. Responsible for medium to large scale database assignments with minimal direction from Lead staff. Explains advanced technical concepts using written and verbal skills. Exhibits and applies advanced proficiency in analysis, design, problem solving, troubleshooting, resolution, communication, and customer service skills. Translates logical model to physical database structure ensuring enhanced application performance. Responsible for the development and maintenance of the database environments for medium to large scale applications and development efforts. Performs database optimization according to business requirements and best practices. Responsible for providing database expertise to software development staff.Essential Job Functions&Tasks: 1) Leads advanced development of database standards, procedures, data model design standards, naming standards and best practices. 2) Demonstrates advanced problem solving, decision making, and functional area knowledge. 3) Prepares and/or facilitates database design reviews in preparation for production implementation.4) Maintains accurate and timely documentation regarding implemented technologies, including database models and metadata. 5) Understands advanced to complex user and technical requirements and able to translate into effective database solutions. 6) Proficient at translating business requirements and data relationships into normalized logical models.7) Effectively utilizes benchmarking and performance tuning skills. 8) Understands high availability and disaster recovery concepts. 9) Able to handle multiple advanced complex assignments. 10) Work with other IT personnel and vendors to facilitate advanced problem solving, database design, and system integrity.11) Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. 12) Demonstrates advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
