Senior Accountant, Texas

Clayton Services is searching for a Senior Accountant to join a thriving company in Willis, Texas.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $75,000-$80,000/year

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions

Oversee preparation of business activity reports

Collaborate with accounts payable when coding invoices

Review and assist other departments with reports

Review weekly accounts receivable deposits

Collect and organize reports to provide to external CPA

Prorate monthly expenses to other departments

Review general leader for discrepancies

Oversee company financial records

Oversee financial reports

Tax planning

Audit accounts to ensure compliance with relevant regulations

Other duties as assigned

Senior Accountant Skills and Abilities:

Excellent reasoning and computer skills

Computer proficiency

Microsoft Office Suite proficiency

Knowledgeable about financial reports (profit and loss statements and balance sheets)

Senior Accountant Education and Experience:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required

A minimum of five years of relevant accounting experience is required

Previous experience working with QuickBooks is required

A minimum of five years of job costing and construction accounting experience is required
