In this position, you'll guide a skilled track maintenance crew, ensuring the safe construction, inspection, and repair of railway tracks in full compliance with Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and CPKC safety standards. Join us and make a meaningful impact on the future of rail infrastructure.POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES: Oversee and direct track crew operations, including cross tie replacement, rail installation, spike adjustment, and ensuring correct tamping of the track ballast Lead daily safety meetings and ensure adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) protocols to foster a workplace culture focused on safetyConduct regular inspection of rail tracks to promptly identify defects and assess structural integrity, minimizing potential hazards Monitor progress of assigned construction and maintenance projects, ensuring completion within established timeframes and quality standards Support the scheduling of maintenance activities and coordinate with other departments to secure track access and timeDocument work progress, report track defects or unusual conditions, and maintain timekeeping/attendance records for the crew Allocate tools and machinery, and order necessary materials for track projects Maintain ongoing communication with leadership and crew members across multiple channels, while diligently following all operational and safety guidelines
