Heil Law Firm is seeking a highly organized and proactive

Paralegal

to support our fast-paced

personal injury

practice in Houston. This role is critical to keeping cases moving efficiently from intake through settlement, with a strong focus on deadlines, documentation, and client support. Key Responsibilities:

Manage and track

DCOs (Deadlines, Court Orders, and Obligations)

across all phases of personal injury cases Maintain precise

calendaring

for litigation deadlines, hearings, depositions, and statute of limitations Prepare and maintain

drafting shells

for demands, pleadings, discovery, and client correspondence Organize and maintain case files, medical records, bills, and supporting documentation Assist with

demand package preparation

, including compiling records, summaries, and exhibits Coordinate with clients, providers, and insurance adjusters to obtain necessary documentation Proactively monitor case progress and anticipate next steps to support attorneys and case managers

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in

personal injury

(plaintiff side preferred) Strong understanding of personal injury case flow (treatment, records, demands, negotiations, litigation) Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet strict deadlines Proactive, solution-oriented mindsetStrong communication skills with both clients and internal team members
