Job Description
Position Summary We are hiring Fabrication Team Members to support our client’s fabrication operations in Beeville, TX. In this position, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, and operating equipment that cuts metal to make front end replacement bumpers, grill guards, and back bumpers.
Key Responsibilities Operate machines to remove finished work pieces or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement according to required machining sequences Confer with shift leads and managers to resolve machine malfunctions or production obtain approval to continue production Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problemsCheck to ensure that work pieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures Clean machines, tooling, or parts, using solvents or solutions and ragsAdjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction Monitor machine operation and control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions Follow work instructions to operate machine control units to start and stop operationReview program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished work piece dimensions, or numerical control sequences Help to maintain necessary inventory of manufacturing supplies Assist with cycle counting of material to ensure inventory integrity Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely; this includes but is not limited to, Eye, Hand, Feet, and Hearing protection.
Qualifications&Skills High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required Previous experience in a manufacturing setting preferred, but not required Experience operating a forklift or material handling a plus Previous experience with machinery, basic machine set up, and small power tools preferred, but not requiredMust be able to read a tape measure Able to work and handle multiple job assignments, communicate in team setting, maintain a clean and organized workspace. Physical ability to lift or carry weight up to 50 lbs. Ability to work for extended hours while standing, walking, bending, stooping, leaning, and lifting
Employment Type&Compensation This is a Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position Pay rate is $17.50 - $18.50 per hour, based on experience Application Window: Open until filled
Work Schedule 1st Shift | Monday– Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM 2nd Shift | Monday - Thursday | 5:30 PM - 4:00 AM
