REO Industries, Inc. is a Dallas-based heritage American automotive company in pre-launch. We're reviving the REO Motor Car Company name— founded in 1905 by Ransom E. Olds — with new ownership, new engineering, and the original intention: build vehicles for working Americans, at a price they can actually afford, made well enough to last.The engagement We're hiring a senior concept designer to develop the design language and full 3D for our launch program: a shared-platform family of three body-on-frame vehicles— an SUV, a crew-cab pickup, and a flatbed work truck. The engineering premises, brand direction, and packaging are locked. The vehicles themselves still need a designer. It is extremely important that this designer be a true car enthusiast. Our interview process will determine the level of your car prowess to see if you're a good match.Scope Exterior concept design across all three variants, sharing a common front cabin and chassis architecture Interior concept design including a four-mode bench-seat cabin (passenger, cargo, bed, bunk) Full 3D— exterior and interior, all three variants — at a fidelity sufficient to anchor customer-facing reservation marketing and a press kitOutput strong enough to hand off to a production design firm later in the program What we're looking for Senior-level concept design experience on real vehicle programs (OEM studio, established consultancy, or equivalent) End-to-end capability— concept sketching through Class-A-adjacent surfacing in 3DAn eye for honest proportion, mechanical authenticity, and visual durability over trend Comfort working from a written brief with a founder, not a design director Engagement details Freelance / contract Remote Starting immediately Compensation commensurate with experience and scope; budget is realNDA required before scope discussion How to Apply
